They were asked, "If you had a friend or relative who needed an attorney with expertise in a specific area of law, to whom would you refer him or her?" Lawyers who received multiple nominations from their peers were checked against already established sources of information about attorneys, such as published reports by "Martindale-Hubbell", and "The Best Lawyers in America." After the nomination and verification steps were completed, the corporations "Florida Business Advisory Board" members were asked to make the final selections. This "short list" of Florida attorneys was then provided to the general public and businesses as an excellent resource for those seeking legal services.

The law firm of Russo & Russo has been awarded an "AV" attorney rating by "Martindale-Hubbell." This 130 year old highly respected organization solicits confidential opinions from members of the Bar and Judiciary. The inquiries seek to elicit recommendations from lawyers and judges located in the same geographical area. Opinions expressed are based on their personal knowledge of the lawyers under inquiry. Ratings fall into two categories: Legal Ability and General Ethical Standards.
